? Expectation: My project will be interesting to any investor
? Reality: Professional investors work with projects in specific areas where they have expertise. Also only at certain stages. For example, angel - give up to $50,000, while investment funds often from $500,000.
Choose someone who works in your area and at your stage.
? Expectation: I only need an idea and a vision to attract investment.
? Reality: In addition to the above, you need to study the market in detail, write a project plan. Show the investor your ability to make money. And not in general phrases, but with specific miscalculations. Ideally, if you already have a product and clients.
? Expectation: The main thing is to get the money and then everything will be fine with the project
? Reality: It won't. Money is only the first step. After all, this money must be used to hire a team, allocate the budget by months. And calculate to have enough to reach zero or the next round of investment.
? Expectation: In order to get the investment, it is enough to show the project to 3 investors
? Reality: Statistically, only every 50th investor invests. If you want money, you should have at least 50 meetings with potential investors.
Tip: Attracting investment is important, but in the end it is how you can spend it that will "decide". If you don't know how the money will make a profit, it is better not to look for it!
Attract and invest in your projects wisely!
