Project summary

The provision of services for international cargo transportation by road in the territory of the European Union is one of the few areas that actually has bright prospects for development in the near future. Currently, the huge 300 million EU consumer market is experiencing a rather acute shortage of transport services. The resulting vacuum in European international logistics continues to deepen at an incredible rate. According to the official data of the German freight exchange TIMOCOM, in 2020 more than 30% of goods across Europe were not transported on time due to the lack of free road transport in the market. Most transport companies from Germany, France, Holland, Belgium and other EU countries have been forced to significantly reduce their fleets due to a shortage of truckers. One of the main reasons for the lack of drivers is the lack of interest in the profession among the local population. For many Europeans, harsh working conditions and the need to spend long periods away from home cannot even compensate for high wages. It is rather problematic for transport companies of the "old Europe" to hire professional drivers from third countries due to the complex migration legislation.

In the meantime, the European auto industry workers are deciding how to replace drivers with robots, transport companies from the countries of Eastern Europe - Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary - began to significantly dominate the EU freight market. Firms organized by entrepreneurs from Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and other post-Soviet countries are the most successful. The main key to the success of such transport companies is the combination of a favorable European business environment with the ability to attract competitive domestic labor resources - professional drivers, logisticians, dispatchers, etc. The best springboard for organizing a transport business in Europe is undoubtedly Slovakia. Loyal migration legislation of the Slovak Republic allows you to easily recruit drivers from Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus and many other countries of the post-Soviet space. Favorable geographical location of Slovakia, low costs of maintaining a company, simple and understandable taxation system, cheap and affordable financial resources, absence of losses on foreign exchange transactions, affinity and closeness of the Slovak language with Russian are the huge advantages of this small European country for creating a successful transport company in the EU ...

The threshold for entering the European transport market with the right approach is much lower than you might imagine. In practice, no European transport company buys expensive modern trucks for real money. The main instruments for purchasing transport in Europe are financial or operational leasing. In Slovakia, rates for such leases are among the lowest in the entire European Union and do not exceed 1.8 - 2% per year. To avoid high start-up investments and not to waste time, it is better to buy a ready-made transport company with a good positive history and a license for international freight transport. The cost of such a company is from 15,000 to 20,000 euros, depending on financial indicators. In order to seamlessly purchase transport in financial or operational leasing, the turnover for the last reporting year of such a company must be at least 80,000 - 90,000 euros, and the net profit must be at least 20,000 euros. Having an officially employed transport engineer and a license for international freight transport allows you to immediately recruit foreign drivers and start activities. You can re-register a ready-made transport company to a new founder within 2-4 weeks. Any foreigner can only be a founder in a Slovak company. In order for the non-resident founder to become a director in his company, you first need to obtain a residence permit. When buying a ready-made transport company in Slovakia, a residence permit for the founder and his family members is free.
