Project summary

The goal of the project is to create an Enterprise that builds multipurpose rounded structures. The investor receives a share of the business on an ongoing basis. Technologies have been tested on models. Experimental construction was carried out using one technology. To complete the development of this development, it is necessary to carry out 3 - 4 experiments. The financial costs for this work will amount to about $ 8-10 thousand.

During the pilot construction , project documentation was drawn up, a pneumatic formwork was manufactured (photo 1), equipment was purchased, and a pressure unit was mounted on a car trailer. The construction was carried out as follows. On the basis of the structure, a pneumatic formwork shell was spread. A reinforcement cage of the lower building layer was placed on the shell, within the boundaries of which concrete was laid and compacted (photo 5). The surface of the concrete was covered with the remainder of the shell fabric and membrane. On the surface of the lower layer, a reinforcing cage of the upper construction layer was placed, into which concrete was laid and compacted. The surface of the upper layer was covered with a membrane. The duration of the formation of the pneumatic construction at the base level (photo 8) was 3 hours. Then, air was pumped into the shell of the pneumatic formwork by a fan of the blowing unit and an excess pressure of 300 kg / m 2 was created . Under the influence of the air-filled shell of the pneumatic formwork, the structure unfolds, and the unhardened building layers bend. Ultimately, the shell is completed and the structure takes the design position (photo 10). The installation of the structure in the design position was carried out in 30 minutes. In this position, the structure is maintained until the concrete acquires formwork strength, and then the pneumatic formwork is dismantled for reuse. Experimental work has confirmed the efficiency of the developed technology. Also, the disadvantages of some of the used technical solutions have been identified. It was built in this way for the first time in the world. At the moment, identified by the experiment, the shortcomings are corrected by design solutions.

In addition, a technology has been developed for the construction of rounded structures, in which the side walls are formed from pre-fabricated wall panels (photo 11 and photo 12 from testing the technology on a model). This method of construction allows the formation of both arched structures and multifaceted domes.

A technology has also been developed that makes it possible to create rounded structures of various complex shapes, of sufficiently large sizes, including those in an insulated version (Fig. 8 - Fig. 12 from the project for experimental construction work).

The advantages of the developed technologies are:

High speed of construction work (the pneumatic construction at the base level is formed in 2-7 hours, and its installation in the design position is carried out in 15-30 minutes);

Low consumption of building materials (spatial stability of the structure is achieved with a thickness of a building layer of 50 - 120 mm and a specific consumption of reinforcement of 3 - 10 kg / m2);

Low labor intensity and cost of construction work (unit cost of construction is 60 - 120 $ / m2);

Minor investment in construction equipment and mechanisms.

To create an Enterprise that builds circular structures using pneumatic formwork, investments of $ 100 - 400 thousand are required (depending on the configuration of the enterprise).

Low cost and short construction time, a variety of forms of original architecture and excellent operational characteristics of structures will allow, without problems, to master the market of construction services.

In this project, the risk is inherent only at the initial stage, upon completion of work on the development of pneumatic technology. This is due to the fact that at the moment, experimental construction work has been carried out, which confirmed the efficiency of the developed construction method.

The estimated unit cost for the construction of an arched structure with a span of 21.0 m (farm, warehouse, workshop) is $ 57.9 / m2.

The profitability of construction works is 51.3%. The return on investment by the profit of the enterprise is achieved in 1.3 years of its activity.
