The project is considering the creation of standard oasis modules with dimensions of 1000 m2 and more. The main objective of the Project is to utilize oil-contaminated soils and turn them into fertile soil.
Project summary
Problems associated with the disposal of oil sludge in Saudi Arabia are present in the country after the revitalization of the oil industry.
Much attention is paid to these problems, since the country not only maintains a leading position in the world in terms of hydrocarbon production, but also makes significant efforts to ensure environmental safety.
So, on behalf of the Government of Saudi Arabia in 2010, Japanese companies carried out a systematic analysis in this matter:

Directly Project " OASIS ARAMCO " can be represented by the following concept, which consists of several main points:
1. Creation in the territories close to the places of liquidation of oil and sludge lakes (and similar soil contamination) of artificial structures with a soil composition laid in them, including collected oil sludge waste.
2. Soil composition is a composition in which, after treatment by mixing together with a special prepared soil matrix, oil sludge will also be placed.
3. The upper layers of the soil in the structure consist of a fertile soil mixture, specially selected taking into account the plants that will be planted.
4. The facilities will be equipped with devices for automatic collection of water captured from the air (approximately 35 grams per cubic meter of air) and thermoregulation systems.
5. The structures will be supplied with alternative energy sources.

The Organizational and Financial Partner assumes the following responsibilities: 1) To finance the work, acting as the Organizational and Financial Partner. 2) Organize, after the signing of this Agreement, by agreement of the Parties, a functioning project office and / or workplaces, attract, on the recommendation of Party-1, specialists and / or organizers of directions at the place of the Project implementation; 3) Organize contacts in any territories that are recognized by the Parties as promising (including the payment of travel expenses, daily expenses, the organization of transfers and flights and the payment of tickets for auto-air-railway transport).
