"Way to Health" Medical Center

Project summary

The "Path to Health" Center for Physical and Psychological Rehabilitation of War Victims opened its doors on August 1, 2022, and as of April 22, 2024, has provided comprehensive rehabilitation to more than 620 people after severe wounds and injuries. "Path to Health" is the only private medical center in Ukraine that has a narrow specialization "War trauma". The staff of the center has been working with patients for 18 months after such serious injuries as:

• Mine and explosive injuries;
• Shrapnel and gunshot wounds;
• Severe contusions;
• Strokes;
• Craniocerebral injuries (including shrapnel and gunshot wounds to the head);
• Injuries of the musculoskeletal system of any degree of severity;
• Limb amputations (full cycle of recovery after amputations);
• Burn injuries in the middle and late rehabilitation period;
• Post-traumatic stress disorder;
• Anxiety disorder, etc.

The medical staff of the center consists of young but experienced specialists of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team , which includes:

• PHYSICIANS of FRM (physical rehabilitation medicine);
• Physical therapists;
• Occupational therapists;
• Assistants of physical therapists;
• Psychologists;
• Psychotherapists;
• Doctors of narrow specializations as necessary (neurologists, traumatologists, etc.).

The Medical Center "Way to Health" is a licensed medical institution and meets all the requirements of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and conducts its activities according to international standards of a multidisciplinary complex and individual approach to the rehabilitation of war victims. For the quick and effective recovery of patients, the center's rehabilitation team uses the following measures:
