GVM is a manufacturing enterprise (direct production of goods). The purpose of the activity is the production of parts for bicycles and carbon bicycles.
Project summary
Graphite Vacuum Monocoque (GVM) Ltd. continues the tradition of manufacturing carbon units for bicycles, founded in 1989 by Ukrainian developer Serhiy Nytka.
At the crossroads of millennia, Eney and Elin sports bicycles have become a breakthrough in the latest Ukrainian and world cycling.
It was the frame of Eney that aroused considerable interest from the world cycling community in the aerodynamic properties that helped reduce the bicycle's resistance to oncoming airflow, which contributed to improving results of competitions.
Elin became the one in the history of Ukrainian cycling, the characteristics of which were highly appreciated by professionals.
On these bikes in 1998, Ukrainian athletes became world champions for the first time in history, and in 2000 set an Olympic speed record in the team pursuit race.
GVM is set to continue to implement and improve the designs and technologies that were implemented in the development of Eney and Elin.
In the manufacture of disc wheels, GVM uses monocoque technology, in which the membranes and the rim are formed in the mold simultaneously without the use of adhesive joints.
The technology allows you to minimize the weight of the membranes, concentrating the maximum material in the rim. The advantage of this method of forming is to increase the torque of the wheel.
These technologies can be used to make units for other machines.
Today GVM embodies developments on small-scale production of units for sports bicycles made of carbon. At this stage, these are the following products: front and rear discs for the track bike, rear disc for the road bike.
