Project summary
A "droneport" is a secure box in which an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the "copter" type (in our case, but there could be another) is stored. Not only is the copter stored in the droneport, but it charges its onboard batteries in the droneport, it takes off from the droneport, and it lands in the droneport.
A droneport is a completely maintenance-free, automated solution that requires no personnel, no operators, and is ready for use 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in practically any weather.
The "Droneport" project is in an active growth stage. The technology has been developed, products have been designed, and patents have been obtained. There are sales!
Today there are a dozen and a half active start-ups around the world developing automatic drone systems of different classes - from light (surveillance, monitoring) to cargo (automatic cargo delivery). About 5-6 companies have already been able to commercialize their projects. Investments in this extremely science-intensive high-tech area reach $123 million per startup. The market is growing by 200% per year.
